When beams or floors are ready for concrete filling, relatives and friends would come in droves to help. Such is the practice in Bontoc, Mountain Province and other parts of the Cordilleras here in the Philippines. Without volunteer help, constructing a building or a house in this corner of the globe --entails much expense.
A two-parter from my freshman year, back when I still thought I'd be a reporter. This was actually a cool opportunity, as I got to take a walk through Emerson's newly-purchased Little Building, as it was undergoing renovation to prepare it to be a residence hall starting in the fall of 1995. Not too many students really had a sense of what to expect from the LB, so this was actually a really interesting experience.
And, apparently, this report has given me a smidgen of fame amongst the current crop of EI
